At the 15th Annual Whistler Writers Festival a new series of awards were introduced – the Whistler Independent Book Awards.
The winners were announced in October 2016 and Separation Anxiety – A Coming of Middle Age Story won first place in the non-fiction category!
Getting the word I'd won!
I was over-the (harvest)-moon excited when Separation Anxiety was shortlisted for an inaugural Whistler Independent Book Award in the non-fiction category.
Winners were announced at the Whistler Writers Festival on October 13-16, the same dates (darn it!) that I was 9000 kilometers away in China.
