I was so excited to be flying to the Whistler Writers Festival that I almost didn't a plane! A wonderful celebration of Canadian writers in this magical mountain setting.

Not only was this my first trip to Whistler, I got to join a panel discussion with my memoir muse J. J. Lee, author of The Measure of a Man: The Story of a Father, a Son, and a Suit.

On Saturday morning October 14, I led a Memoir-abilia Writeshop, my writing tools and talismans in tow.

About the Festival
The Whistler Writing Society was founded in 2001 and became a non-profit organization in 2005. The group includes over 150 members. From its inception the group has promoted the literary arts, provided a forum for local writers to develop their craft within the community, and sponsored literary events for readers and writers alike, including the annual Whistler Writers Festival.
