Welcome Fall 2017 with its harvest of literary festivals! I hit the road to Saskatoon’s Word on the Street, on Sunday, September 24, sharing books and stories.
Word on the Street 2017 welcomed over fifty authors and exhibitors in its new location on historic Broadway Avenue. Great table talk with so many friendly Saskatonians on this sunny Sunday.
The Brave New World and Great Expectations tents featured poets, playwrights, novelists, memoirists, biographers, bloggers. The Treasure Island tent enthralled young readers.
I welcomed scores of folks to my stall in the The Exhibitor Marketplace that was set up on a bright, sunny day on Broadway!

The adults were drawn in by my display for various reasons, but the kids were mesmerized by my Etch-A-Sketch. They’d twist and turn those white knobs with fierce concentration, fascinated by those thin black lines. I told them it was our idea of a computer back in the day… flip/shake/delete…

Well done, Saskatoon WOTS!
